Sensors for mineral detection

We're developing new sensor-based technologies to detect and analyse minerals in the exploration field and direct from the drill site, providing real-time data availability to inform exploration decisions.

Ore sorter for copper and iron

We developed the world's first sensor system for large-scale ore sorting. It rapidly determines ore grade to cost-effectively sort minerals of value from waste. The technology can significantly boost productivity for mining companies and is available to the international market through NextOre.

ExScan 3D underground mapping

Building upon the global success of the LASC longwall automation technology, we invented ExScan, a laser-scanning system that provides real-time data for enhanced navigation in underground mines and 3D mapping capability.

Mineral detection and measurement

The ability to accurately measure valuable elements and minerals is critical for optimising processes. Our emerging sensor technologies provide real-time results, opening up opportunities to make significant cost savings and increase mineral recovery rates.

Detecting gold on-line

We've partnered with Gekko Systems to commercialise a new technology that enables gold plant operators to determine the gold content in mineral processing slurries in real time to enable process control.

PhotonAssay: gold detection

We developed and commercialised a disruptive new gold analysis solution that uses powerful x-rays for rapid results.

XRDF slurry analyser

We combined two different x-ray based techniques in a new on-line analyser for slurries. The technology operates directly on-stream for plant control and monitoring.

Continuous Miner Navigation system

We have delivered a step-change improvement in underground mining operations – by introducing an innovative navigation solution for underground roadway development.
